The American Red Cross has done it again! For the fifth consecutive year we have received the highest rating possible from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent evaluator of charities. The American Red Cross earned four out of four stars, meaning that compared to other charities in America we excel in stewardship of donated dollars. It also recognizes the fact that we successfully manage our finances in an efficient and effective manner.

This is a tremendous honor not only for the American National Red Cross, but also for all of the local chapters that help communities across the country every day.
 

Right here in central Alabama your American Red Cross is making a difference. Last year alone we provided assistance to victims of more than 350 disasters, issued over 23,700 certificates in courses such as first aid and CPR, assisted more than 600 military service members and their families with emergency communications, and garnered over 13,500 units of life-saving blood at local drives. And we were able to do it all because of your generosity.

            It is because of kind-hearted donors like you that the Red Cross is able to fulfill its mission. Charity Navigator recognizes that we are committed to
